Post Nick Drake

Hey all. I just got my hands on my first Nick Drake album. I think it is great. I was just wandering if any of yall have ever heard of him at all and what yall think of his music.

i think he's great , river man is one of my all time favourites! Five leaves left i think is his best album, but he's a class act and all his stuff is worth hearing!

Nick Drake, he's superb, love the Pink Moon album, but maybe that's because it was my first introduction to Nick Drake. A slightly haunted young man, but that beautiful voice and guitaring!!!!

Yeah, I'm a fan too.

I think I agree with Five Leaves Left being Drake's best work, but I prefer Bryter Layter (coincidentally my introduction to Drake).

he's freaking amazing. five leaves left is one of my favorites, if not favorite album ever. robert kirby did some really nice arrangements, and nicks picking is really interesting. i just got done transcribing the guitar and string parts and i may record the thing soon. oh...and his lyrics are freakin amazing too

Good stuff. My girlfriend introduced me to him earlier this week. Now if I get a chance to get down to the record store and have some money to spare I'll buy his music.

Yeah, he's great. I heard a story like he died about 5 years after the forthcoming of the "Five leaves left" or something strange like this. Maybe someone can correct me if I mixed it up a bit...
