I'm all dressed up for Prague
So, I'm going to Prague on the day after Christmas for a couple weeks and I was wondering if anyone has ever been and if they have, do you have any recommendations on some rad places to go or maybe some secret places that the tour guides don't know about?
I'll also be taking a small 2 day trip to Paris and another small trip to the town of Cesky Krumlov, which is in the southern part of the Czech Republic. I'd be most grateful for any insight that anyone can give me.

You can't go wrong in Prague.
There are so many wonderful things to see and experience. Well, the sights are pretty straightfoward... Most people will recommend: -St. Vitus Cathedral -Astronomical Clock -Prague Castle -Charles Bridge (which is my favourite because it is lined with buskers) I'd recommend, for the sake of the price of your aeroplane ticket, exploring outside the city. The train rides are beautiful and you can meet some really interesting people. I really enjoyed the Jewish Quarter of the city. It had extra appeal for me because some of my mum's ancestors were Czech Jews. There are some extraordinary theatre events, operas, and shows. Also the prostitutes are excellent, much better than in Kazakhstan

don't forget to drink the best and cheapest beer as much as you can!
and if you have enough days to spend, just get lost in the streets of prague, you will come across really interesting things for sure!

Eating
There are also plenty of great resturants with ery affordable prices around Prague.
One resturant you should definately check out, is a brazilian located "behind" the clock tower. I dont recall the name, but believe me! This is a place everyone should experience. You pay around 20-25 euros and you can eat all you want from great dishes. They have a sushi/salat buffet and several chefs coming round with 20-25 different kind of meat you can choose from. They have this small plate which is green on one side and red on the other which you can just switch to signal whether you are full or not They also have a marvellous atmosphere, great service minded personel and a Carpirinha to die for! |

Do NOT get taken in by nigerian men on the main street telling you to go into strip clubs for free.
Do NOT go into the Charles Bridge nightclub, even if it may be one of the biggest in europe. Its got lots of sleazy beef czech men trying to get in with loose foreign girls. But otherwise Prague is great. Charles Bridge has got so much life. Personally i thought the astronomical clock was a bit of a letdown. |

Hello,
a new Eskino friend from the Czech Republic i've been in Prague only twice so far (shame on me) but Charles Bridge is what you're looking for...beautiful, artists around, and wonderful view of Prag "castle". It's worthy to climb the hill to the castle through the charming narrow streets. Prague in autumn...prepare yourself for the real melancholy And don't expect to meet many Czech people around You'll love it! Have a wonderful time cao, luu |
