does damien always have a cigarette and a mug of beer to sing "cheers darling" live? read a review somewhere he did request those items before he could perform the song and i just thought it wouldn't be good for his health if he did that everytime! or else, does he usually not play that song live?

yeah damo does usually do cheers darlin in quite a theatrical style but doesn't always
its pretty cool to watch!

I would imagine that as a smoker one extra cigerette when he's performing the song isn't going to damage his health worse than the rest of them. And one beer isn't going to do harm either.

He was drinking wine at the solo gig !!About a bottle of it ! Kept knocking it back and refilling it straight away ! That song is great live ! He doesn't always play it though!

ive seen him do it quite a few times and im under the impression sometimes its for show and doesnt really get drunk... not taking away from it as i think he should have more theatrics in his live shows

it was at vicar st 31st of may 2004.
was anyone here at the gig?
can you remember what kind of wine was it?
i think it was a german wine....
cheap stuff....
