Damien gonna take time out
Hi,
I heard Damien being interviewed on radio 2 on saturday before the Live Earth gig and he said after his tour ends in October he is going to take time out (can't say i blame him coz hes had a busy schedule this year). He says hes gonna get rid of his computer when hes finished his tour as he feels like his head is always in his computer when hes not performing. Hope he doesn't take too much time out but i think he will!!!!! Last edited by clazkel; 07-10-2007 at 10:07 PM. |

Thanks for letting us know, any chance that I can find a transcript or recording of this interview online?

I guess he deserves it because he's been on tour for a loong time now..
hopefully it won't be too long before he comes out again with more new and wonderful songs!... or something that will feed my very serious case of Igloo adiction! cheers! |

I've been trying that link but i can't get it to work!
It is the interview with Jonathon Ross that he done when he was travelling to Wembley and not the interview he and David done with Edith Bowman after they had sang? thanks |

It's working fine for me.
It's the interview before he sang, I think. And they are talking about Damien taking time out, so I guess that is the one we are talking about. Last edited by RonjaGirl; 07-11-2007 at 08:38 AM. |

Did he really say he went to Toscana to be a farmer?!? LOL, I'm just asking because my English isn't that good... if that it's true it's absolutely priceless! I love this man!
Damn, I would love a transcription of that part of the interview... |

i've managed to get it working now. I find Jonathon Ross abit annoying tho on the radio when speaking to Damien and also after they performed on TV he said he's glad there performance was over! How rude!

Jayzus, Mary and Joseph, I guess the Boyo needs a nap and a stretch...his tour schedule looks like a Stadium Metal band from the 80's. Time to buy a nice piece of land and build a small cabin in the center of it. I can see Damien living out an old John Prine song:
"Blow up yer TV, throw away yer papers, move to the country, build you a home, plant a lil garden, eat a lot of peaches, try and find jesus, on yer own." For myself, I'd love to sit with Damien on a shady back porch, in a couple rocking chairs, and pick a few songs and sing some tunes no one will ever hear and eat a couple fresh juicy peaches, working out a few melodies for "8", maybe even "7"...hehe

a break should do him good, maybe he can once again find his passion for music that he has so obviously lost
