I need the mythos, the pathos, the magic...it spills outta Irish pubs, Afghani campfires, and 10 year old kiddo's awaiting Harry's next adventure....
Leave me this, at least. Don't explain it away. I'm just a wrinkle in Damien's lucky coat he seems to wear everywhere. I await the wonder of a simple writer's heart.
Tonight, I'll dream. Don't wake me up. Just whisper that the magic is still there....Don't spoil it for me, don't explain it away with a shrug...Tonight, just let me dream.

Art's in the eye of the beholder, and that seemed just like random rambling to me. Obsessive rambling. The only real salvageable thought in it is the bit about Afghani fires, as it conjures a nice painting-mood.

I'll be feeding the squirrels and blowing bubbles in the park for the kids tomorrow.
Please don't scare them away. Bubbles are pretentiously and hopelessly scarey enough.

"hopelessly pretentious".....he lives quietly alone, mucking about, thrilled and inspired by song, amazed by a tunesmith now and then...kerouacky, trying doors for a quiet place to laff and talk all night long in front of the fire....damian rice, what an oasis....I'm too old for the term "hopelessly pretentious"...too many syllables...just looking for "quiet eloquence"...not here for critique, just sweet smiling babble....one can only lower one's expectations so far...lets get stoned and look each other in the eye nose to nose, and listen to Damien, and all his influences and get the string pluck outta here....Avalon, babble on.
