^That would be great! Would you also be playing somewhere?
Also, we could do that duel for Amy's possession that's been brewing. Pistols, swords or beer?

^ Nice. I am envious of anyone taking nice trips these days. I feel very tied down. I miss travel dearly. I love staying at home with the kids, but it sure would be nice to have some extra money. We are working on being independently wealthy.
Hope it all works out and you have a wonderful time! |

^^ Thanks! It's going to be a recording tour, making people I know in Europe work on my debut album.
But I am not yet sure of the route and the funding... ^And what would 'G' stand for?

did he ask, because the discussions about the health care system are all over the media? impressive that he's interested in politics at that young age

after almost 2 months in the new town i played an open mic yesterday. the guy owning the place was impressed and we talked about me having an open mic there every 2 weeks or so. see, the success-story goes on... yet physically i'm absolutely crushed today. fun fun.

^^ He was in preschool during the health care summit, but at dinner he overheard my husband and I discussing it (I watched most of it). My husband told me that a guy he works with thinks that if someone can't afford insurance then too bad, they should just die. Luke asked what health insurance was, and I told him. Then he asked why some people couldn't go to the doctor. I explained that Pres Obama was trying to make it so that everyone could go to the doctor, but that there some people who were trying to make it so that not everyone could go. He wanted to know who those people were, so I told him. That's what prompted him to ask if Republicans were bad guys. I quickly told him that not all Republicans are bad guys!
I grew up with a conserative dad & a liberal mom, so I always got both sides. But my kids have two liberal parents, so I'm going to have to make a real effort to present both sides. ^^ Congrats! Hope something good comes out of all this! |

^ Grown-ups can be hard to understand at times - your boy got it right! It's not right to let your fellow human being die.
^^ Good stuff, Oliver!

^ Last time I talked to the staff they said they were optimistic with 3 promising candidates for the free spots. So time doesn't work for you here. Anyway, the project runs all year and maybe someone jumps off the cliff or so. Do you want me to hook you up with someone from the staff? Maybe just to check your opportunities...
Besides that: Once around the world please! A few months ago, when the album was finished, Mark from Sideways Through Sound contacted me. STS is a weekly show on 2SER 107.3 in Sydney, Australia and they had the idea to build up a web shop where everyone can download music and the money goes to the artist and the station. So, no corporation in the middle. This morning I received an email that it's done: http://www.sidewaysthroughsound.com.au/ |

Good friends, smiles on faces. Beautiful music, the love of my life. Getting over fear, slowly. Learning, having fun doing so, trying to grow up. Making new friends.

^^ Love that too!
My smile comes from seeing how different my sons are, and really learning to love them for their uniqueness. They really are night and day in their personalities and interests and it makes life a lot of fun and challenging all at the same time. |

NEED I SAY MORE?! It was so much fun walking/driving downtown today! People were just randomly WOOOO-ing and waving flags out of car windows and honking their horns incessantly and high-fiving us as we walked by. Seriously love being a Canadian hockey fan on days like this!! Downtown at one of our biggest intersections: Last edited by srahman24; 03-01-2010 at 05:31 AM. |
