i find it hard to name any songs that doesnt envolve relationships... i just think damien takes life too seriously and tries to screwtenise every point where his downlfall was or hers was instead of looking at life and saying f**k it instead of "f**k you"

and sometimes tadpoles ignite my emotions more... god i love drunken ramblings

I had an hour long chat, no conversation, about the anatomy of an ant once, only slightly under the influence. Now, that was song material...

well.. maybe scrutinizing everything about an event inhis life and putting it into a song is the only way damien has of getting PAST this event. maybe after he gets it out, he's ABLE to say "f**k it".
and if you think about it.. to get this point to him, and correct him about it, we'd have to sort of boycott those songs in which we think he got too serious.. "yeah right", is what most people will say. He plays those songs, because they ARE enjoyed by-- and are comfort to-- a CONSIDERABLY large group of people. they're not complaining.

gotta agree wit ya there DamosFavEyes. God, where did you come up with a screen name like that?

ooh,artsy fartsy joke, sorta:

A new violist in an orchestra was having trouble tuning his strings, and they ended up all in unison. A first violinist turned to him and said,

''No, you dont do that stupid, all the pegs are supposed to be parallel!''

thats damiens fault in my opinion that he is limited to heartbreaking and such and i think he needs to broaden his orizons and look at life a different way

I would call Thom Yorke's lyrics political. Do you actuallyhate Radiohead?

Who said Hate? not I, in answer I'm lukewarm about radiohead, ok but not a big fan.

What's wrong with bands being political? I can't bear it though when bands are overly left wing just "because" artists are supposed to be. The Stereophonics' politics pisses the hell out of me.

Jeweller - how can you put Mariah Carey and Fiona Apple in a single sentence? Fiona Apple is an actual artist while Mariah Carey is just a performer.
