Without spoiling too much, what is so good about it in your opinion?

well, it's set in canada in 1867... the author has actually never been to canada, but she makes it so realistic... you really get to know and like the characters... the plot is great, with lots of little twists along the way... it feels like a really good journey... so well written... i've really missed it since i finished it!

certainly sounds interesting. see, we're in between books at the moment so this could be an option.
