Its funny, but I prefer his songs when they are performed by other people. If you get the chance, you should listen to what Ronnie Drew and Eleanor Shanley did to Restless Farewell, it is amazing stuff, one of the best pieces of music I've ever heard.

I can't reduce my standards enough to listen to any one person who chooses to cover god, i mean bob dylan. It would be much like blasphemy.

By the way if you can't appreciate the fine art of Dylan by Dylan, than you really dont like him at all. Cause you either get it or you don't.

You shouldn't judge blindly. I say give it a try and if you still hate it, then that's fine with me.

The man is a genious. I love his style, although I understand it can be a bit rough or maybe just a little too raw for some people; I think it's just perfect. Here are some of my favorites (no ranking):
Visions of Johanna Just like a woman Ballad of a Thin Man (I've been listening a lot to this one lately) The times they are a-changing Desolation Row Hurricane Like a Rolling Stone Lay, lady, lay Blowing in the wind Tangled up in blue Don't think twice, it's all right... Well, the list goes on

The "raw" sound is what makes him Dylan. I love hurricane. The raw sound is why I am a Johnny Cash fan too!
