I heard something about a Cannonball DVD...

Where was it released, how much is it in shops and when was it released?

Thanks,

TJ

Yes it was part of the Cannonball UK single release 2 CD singles and a DVD complete with 2 mixes (if I remember correctly) and a cool interview with Damo, strangley enough the actually cannonball video is on CD 2 and is the version we all know and love

I was planning on maybe buying it today if I knew how much it was and if it was released in the UK, etc.

Sadly it's 3 seperate items CD1 has a couple of 'bonus' tracks, CD2 has the single plus the Video, and Disk 3 is the DVD, which is the best out of the 3. I got mine from HMV online

HMV online? Could someone help out a clueless American? I doubt that any of my record stores would have it, and I've already looked, to no avail, on amazon.com...

any suggestions?

ah, ok...well, it's listed as a CD, but the description seems to be at least partly for a DVD...

All three (CD's 1 and 2 and the DVD) were £1.99 each (very reasonable price)the first week they were on sale. I got mine then, so i don't know if they went up or down since.

I have the Cannonball DVD. It has Cannonball (Radio Remix), Cannonball (Remix) and the DVD part has a 6min interview with Damien. It's kinda funny, sorta seems to be aimed at the US market.

the other DVD he has is a 3-track DVD with the videos from the AOL Sessions.. you know the really nice looking black and white videos that they show on TV.

If they're official releases that are available to purchase, I would discouragethe DVD being traded or put on the ftp.

I've never seen the Cannonball video! Does anyone know how much the DVD-CD set is going for in US dollars?

I ordered all three discs from hmv, although I think it would have been cheaper from the drm recommended online retailer, Townsend Records. It all came to 16.75 pounds with shipping, which was a bit pricey for singles, but i'm obsessed.

A warning for other Americans though...the DVDs in Europe don't play on American DVD players. I knew this, but apparently forgot it when I ordered the discs, and then remembered after I put the Cannonball DVD in my player and it told me that regional restrictions prevented play or something like that. Can we find this footage on the internet somewhere?

Well, it can depend on your DVD player and TV. The same way that US DVD's may not work in Europe (with region locks), but are capable of on certain sets. My Sony DVD player can play US DVDs, and the TV it's hooked up to can take US signals.
Just check in the manual to make sure. I have heard that there are less TV's in the US that'll play European stuff than TV's in Europe that'll play US stuff.

I think there's exactly one multi-region player that came out on the US market this year and it's expensive compared to regular ones.

I think the videos that come with music CD should be region-free anyway
