I know that the world doesn't need another "Blowers Daughter" thread - look at any Damien Rice forum and you get the same few posts - I know, I know, BUT I really have to share what I found out on the DVD bit of the Cannonball single. There's an interview where Damo is talking about recording O. He said that of all the songs this one didn't at the time make him go "oahhh" <shudder>. His solution? To make the hairs stand on end? He said that he recorded it infront of none-other than... the blowers daughter herself.... So - sorry if I'm bringing up old ground - but since finding that out - it's added a WHOLE new dimension to me listening to that song... and if you've not put it on for a while... maybe you should

Is this a test? As I understand... the girl behind the lyrics is the daughter of a flute teacher... hence blower.. hence daughter... the story of unrequited love etc ..so he got her in to perform to her for the recording of this track, or so it would seem in the, erm interview on the DVD... I'll get my coat.
