I have in my hands(well, not so literally my hands) a leak of Tori Amos', The Power Of Orange Knickers, from her new album which features Damien. I have not listened to it yet, but I am swelling with anticipation and therefore, I must give it a go. I'll be back later to fill you in on his participation and what not, after I listen to the rest of the album.

Oh wow! *wipes drool off the side of my mouth* That was f-ing amazing. Very rarely do we get to hear our top 2 FAVORITE artists performing together and now...my favorite are forever commemorated on CD. I am floating right now. I have to say to those that have heard this and have compared Damien's contribution to the song, to that of Trent Reznor's in Past The Mission...I have to say you're mistaken. No, Damien does not sing a single line without Tori, but his vocals are much more apparent than Trent's were. Which reminds me...Damien's voice was so strong. I don't think I've ever heard his voice sound so strong. I'll start a new post and type out the lyrics, hilighting the ones that Damien sings. |

The Power Of Orange Knickers
The power of orange knickers The power of orange knickers The power of orange knickers under my petty coat. the power of listening to what, you don't want me to know. Can somebody tell me now who is this terrorist those girls that smile kindly then rip your life to pieces. Can somebody tell me now am I alone with this- this little pill in my hand and with this secret kiss, kiss am I alone in this... A matter of complication when you become a twist for their latest drink as they're transitioning Can somebody tell me now who is this terrorist this little pill in my hand that keeps the pain living Can somebody tell me now a way out of this- that sacred pipe of red stone could blow me out of this kiss, kiss am I alone in this... The power of orange knickers under my petty coat. the power of listening to what, you don't want me to know. Shame shame time to leave me now Shame shame you've had your fun shame shame for letting me think that I would be the one Can somebody tell me now who is this terrorist this little pill in my hand or this secret kiss, kiss am I alone in this kiss, kiss am I alone in this kiss, kiss I could be wrong, but it sounds like, to me, that Damien is singing the last two "kiss, kiss" by himself. It's just really hard to tell. I think Tori might be singing part of the words with him...I just can't tell. Amazing song though. |

it could fit in Closer much better than Blower's Daughter, cos it gives out the same kind of feeling.

That sounds like a fairly reasonable idea. I can certainly do that. Now...To decide whom I should send it to. |
