Thanks, Eva! What a lovely, emotional performance. I was completely rapt.

Thank you for posting! That is hands down the best Greatest Bastard performance I've seen. So good.

Des,
Have you seen a lot of them? I've yet to see a bad performance of that song but this was by far the weakest one to me. The rhythm and guitar playing this time felt very mechanical and herky jerky whereas he usually plays with far more freedom and feeling.

first time in berlin is the best, ppl laughed at the line "...ur legs and many other things". The second performed, ppl already know the lyric. I blame it for the spread of internet

I've seen pretty much all the Greatest Bastard versions out there. This Jools Holland one is definitely one of my favorites, mostly because of his little sarcastic facial expressions from time to time. Maybe I'm just responding to finally seeing and hearing a professional recording of this song.
This is another of my favorite truly "live" versions of the song, from Iceland 2013: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJXBwOWFIIg |

I gotta admit though, when he does the one at Whelan's (was it?) where he's like "Oh, some of you have heard this before" -- that always cracks me up a bit.

I like these versions because we can see his eyes. I don't think he often sings with them open and I haven't seen many performances so close up. I also like a lone cello versus all the strings. You can kind of tell when he's phoning it in, though, because of the closeness. Not the best, in my opinion, but a different, interesting perspective. |

definitely the best filmed one, and I guess the best one in regards of sound quality
but my favs are the two ones I posted on the other thread, the one from the Paris aftershow with him singing on his knees, and the one from Whelans...

I love how we've begun to abbreviate song names... haha. But thanks for the shares. I'm lost in Damien's magic again... I'll find my way out, eventually...

I love the way Damien is filmed on this show and how beautiful he is and sings the two songs.

Can someone re-upload I Don't Want To Change You on Jools? Just listened to the album preview and not sure what to do with myself for the upcoming days/weeks/months.

I know, I was replying to the person above me that was wondering if Damo would be fit enough to perform
