I'm not quite sure if this is the proper forum for Sigur Ros fans seeing as they are quite different than Damien but I've fallen in love with them. I just wish that their cd "()" was available in Canada. Anyways, just a thread showing my appreciation to them.

sigur ros is just amazing.. i used to think agætis byrjun was better but i tell you, i now think ( ) is far superior. agætis byrjun is definitely more accessible to people that have never heard of them though.
i'd really love to catch them live, heard so many good things about their performances. and btw, their "first" cd is actually Von.

I had a boyfriend that was a freak about sigur rose. Drove me mad driving in the car. Finally he stopped talking about it and through it in the player. I listened, I liked, but I did not love. Feels like soft Radiohead with out comprehensive lyrics.

What did you picture then? For me, the vid is absolutely perfect! The build-up is superb in boththe song and the vid. Very dramatic. Btw, have you ever seen them perform Vaka on Last Call with Carson Daly? That must be the most amazing version I've ever heard/seen!

The video is do with anti War, I love the start of the video with some cute little children but viðrar vel til loftárása is the best video. Its great that they had won something since the 'shortlist' prize 2001

I bought the album (white one with no writing on it at all!) because I read a post about it on this board. I'm a bit confused by it all but it sounds pretty good. I must say I find it a bit depressing at times though

What about tulips, Rikkert? You *do* grow tulips, right? Say yes! Or are you saying this picture is fake? P.S. I stopped smoking weed a long time ago. |
