Computer Building Q's.
Hey guys what's up. I'm thinking about upgrading from my PC to a custom made computer designed for audio recording. With that in mind, I was wondering what your guys' experience has been with this and where did you end up getting your supply, parts, labor, etc? A friend of mine told me to head over to Fry's but I wanted to ask here first. Thanks!

my post was replaced by the blank screen. grrrr
ok, i'm about to get a new laptop and i have two choices for processor+video card: a. Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T7500 (2.20 GHz, 4 MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB) + 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS - For Core 2 Duo Processors or b. Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.50 GHz, 6 MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB) + Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 - For Core 2 Duo Processors since i don't really play games, i don't watch videos and the screen is only 15 inches, i was leaning towards getting the T9300 and the not-so-good video card. i also read that the T9300 is really good with the battery life and the overal temperature. i would also be using several applications at once with an external monitor and i don't know if the intel video card could handle that. but i don't know ANYTHING about video cards, so i'm confused. what do you think i should do? ps. i'm buying my memory stick from fry's, they have great prices and great service

The faster your chip is, the more memory you have, the faster your computer will run, these are more important than your video card (gaming and non gaming) if you are trying to run multiple programs you need a faster processor and more onboard memory to keep up
