Woman gives birth to 8 babies Only second time in history octuplets survive By Raquel Maria Dillon, THE ASSOCIATED PRESS QUOTE] I just saw on the news today that she already has 6 kids at home!! Apparently she had used some sort of assisted reproductive techniques to get pregnant. She lives with her parents. |

^ she also said shes breastfeeding all 8.. goodluck
wont some of the babies have problems due to lack of oxygen in the womb? i dont understand how 8 babies can come out of a person.. maybe a mouse or a rabbit..

^ I know, that's crazy! I'm assuming that she is just going to pump and give each baby a bit of breastmilk each day in a feeding tube (right now, they are all probably unable to nurse anyway and may not even be able to take a bottle yet, being so premature), and give them formula to make up for what she can't produce herself.
i can't imagine having more than one baby inside yourself at a time! I was HUGE with each of mine and was so uncomfortable at the end of each pregnancy, even though one was born 4 weeks early and the other was 3 weeks early, I'm glad they didn't go full term or I would've had to roll everywhere instead of walk. This woman with 8 must have been ginormous! |

i have great reflexes! i haven't watched the last episode of lost but i decided to take a peeky at the lost thread and my eyes went straight to 'my jaw dropped to the floor when i saw that widmore'. since i know my luck, i kinda expected something like that was gonna happen so my mouse was on the 'close window'. funny thing is that my eyes kept reading after the tab was already closed now i must stay away from any human interaction until i watch it

It seems the woman playing the clowncar already had six kids. Wow. I didn't know that giving birth can be a form of child abuse, how wrong was I. This is some seriously twisted and sickening story... Some seemingly mentally ill woman with already a ton of kids gets an ubnormally high number of embryos implanted by some quack (I wish they'd catch the bastard and bar him/her from even wearing a white coat ever again), then chooses to keep all of them instead of aborting at least six. How she paid for all of this no-one knows. Hopefully at least the majority of the kids will be rescued from this environment.
And they say humans are intelligent...

^ Rai, you're not gonna believe this, but the woman who had the 8 kids is divorced! And they got divorced last year before she even got pregnant - so she chose to become a mother again even though she knew she'd have to raise it/them alone. Her husband wasn't the father of any of their kids - they were all done by in vitro, by anonymous donors. Doctors say that the human body isn't equipped to have more than 4 babies at a time, and even that is very rare in nature. So I don't think that doctors should ever plant more than 2 or 3 eggs at a time (it is not uncommon for one to split, thus creating 4).
At least a lot of people are donating breastmilk so the babies can at least develop good immune systems. They're gonna need all the help they can get to survive childhood in that crazy household! |

^Doctors never plant more then 2 or three embryos. I mean, proper doctors. But the Dr. Frankenstein who did this thought otherwise. At least he was cheap... :P

^ It means insane, crazy in these cases.
Something completely different: Wow, I think we've got the monster of the year: read this. I have a strong feeling that she is perfectly sure that she did the right thing, after all god was on her side. (Go, Superdawkins, go, rid the world of the root of all evil!)

Today I was sitting in the bus to uni in Potsdam and I didn't feel very well and then suddenly, I don't know where it came from, I had Aereogramme's "Inkwell" in my head (which, strangely enough, I haven't been listening to in a while) and that lifted me up a bit. Weird.

^The same with my English, I have to fight really hard to keep it. I'm already losing my Irish accent. Damn students, why can't they speak better?
