in the newsest issue of rolling stone magazine, damien gets a small
mention in their review of the film 'closer.' "With the insistent yearning of 'The Blower's Daughter,' the Damien Rice song that punctuates the film, Nichols locates something unexpected in Closer: a grieving heart." overall, RS gave the movie a 3 and a half out of 4 stars rating, which is considered 'excellent,' as defined by their key. just thought u guys would like to know!

i'd imagine that the song only relates to the film, as much as the director and music supervisor understand damien... it's probably in a very superficial hollywood way, you can imagine how someone might want to use 'smells like teen spirit' for a war movie when they don't even make a half assed attempt at understanding the song and just pay attention to how it sounds rather then what it means...
i'm probably being very unfair to damien's good taste / the makers of 'closer'
