Yes, fender makes acoustics. Regular acoustics. And they have they're new "stratacoustic" which is ugly in my opinion

My first guitar was an Alvarez! Got it for my 12th birthday. I still have it and it still sounds great! Good recommendation, Corey!

yeah, coreybyrnes is right, stayaway from fender acoustics, and alvarez guitars are really good for the price.

Yamaha makes great guitarsfor the price...they really have it together. great sounding stuff. I would stay away from Takamine. I bought a $700 Takamine acoustic /electric and a year later tried to sell it to a couple of music stores and they would only give me $150-200 dollars for it...something about how Korean guitars dont last a long time because of the materials they are made of. And the guitar was in perfect shape, i only played it at 5 or 6 gigs.

yamaha F365II the best acoustic for the money (and
the guitar that The Edge played on The Joshua Tree) fenders are nice but sometimes they are too bassy and warm and dont get that shimmery treble pop. if u want to hear what this yamaha can do, email me or post and ill send u a file. |

I've kept quite on this thread cos I have a Fender acoustic and everyone is slating them. But I've had mine for 10 years and learnt soooo much with it. I personally love the really bassy sound it gives. I would like to upgrade to something better when my financial position improves but I've played a lot of other cheap guitars that I don't think are as good. BTW mine was £170 back then. I once went into a shop and asked to try a £3000 guitar. I didn't like how it played or sounded. So, what I'm saying is go into the shops and try out the guitars for yourself. many online us retailers charge upwards of $100 to ship to western eu. you might have better luck with ebay, cheaper price may cancel out high shipping rate.here are 2ebay listings for pretty good alvarez guitars, especially for the price http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...amp;category=3 3022&item=3733959975&rd=1 & http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...amp;category=3 3022&item=3735482263&rd=1

for a little more than £200 you could get yourself a simon and patrick acoustic.they sound beautiful and every guitarist i know who has played mine, wants one.
