I think these singers on these shows always over do it. That is what the mainstream seems to want. It doesn't matter what the lyrics are to them as long as they can sing it as strongly as possible. They could be singing Ring around the Rosie and these audiences would just eat it up. Christina was worse than the guy singer, imo. Just because her voice is stronger than Lisa's doesn't mean it is more powerful or meaningful.
