Welcome Fiona! You'll find plenty of comment on that gig and the other VicarSt one and the Galway gig in the gigs and Damien Rice sections. Enjoy.

I can't go into it - its just too painful. Just check out the other threads, I gave my honest opinion and got slated for being over opinionated, yet most people then came along and agreed with me yet just not in such expressive language. General verdict on both Vicar Street gigs is that the crowd was full of assholes who shouted and talked at inappropriate times, heckled Damien with things like "get ur bleeding hair cut", and generally showed him no respect. DR wasn't happy both nights and showed it, cutting the shows short by 3 or 4 songs each night. He looked tired.

But he's still a hero and his music is amazing and if I hadn't been to the December Vicar Street gig I probably would have thought it was the best gig ever . . but it wasn't.
