It's Swedish, because I can easily read Norweigan and this is a bit more difficult.
If I have nothing better to do tonight (I don't have a TV yet) I'll see if I can translate some of it for you. The first thing is about his musical history: Wrote first song in 1996 that he didn't tried to write but just appeared, blablabla, Shows in London, Accelerator in Stockholm in July, something with the next album will be aggressive, blablablablainswedish, Oh, and some weird Swedish word "Allihopa" that made me laugh (Don't ask I'm happyhappyhappy today!). Anyway it's mostly about performing and writing songs. |

Oh, that would be great, Betina. You can leave out what we already know, like all the "evil record company" bla, bla...

My grasp of swedish is very elemantary (i.e. I only know the bad words) so I did notice him saying "kuk" (cock) and "skit" (sh*t) a few times. Wouldn't be an interview with Damien unless he cursed every couple of lines.

I only know the bad words seeing as they're the only ones my Swedish friend ever bothered teaching me! That and I can count to ten (ett, två, tre, fyra, fem, sex, sju, åtta, nio, tio), don't need to know anything else! I was always more a Hobbes fan myself... though you gotta love Calvin!

Here's a belgian (in dutch) review of "O": www.goddeau.com Just for the people who are not so familiar with dutch , to sum it up: it's a great album and Damien Rice is definitely NOT just an ordinary singer-songwriter, he is the next big thing . |

If anyone´s still interested I´ll do a short translation of the article. However it´s nothing in there that you havn´t heard or read already. Bedina summed it up quite OK. And by the way, "allihopa" just means "everybody". |

Thanks for the offer, Rudy. If it's nothing new, though, I guess you can save yourself the work, at least in MHO.

I won't translate it then... probably the best, since I would misunderstand the Swedish and write something completely wrong.
