^ Yes!
from the BBC I just got front row tickets to Ray's gig in Toronto! Front row center! In one of the most amazing venues in the city. My hands won't stop shaking! (this things are ridiculously expensive though) |

sorry for the silly snow updates, but it has me so excited because we rarely get snow..
i was slightly sad as it rained last night and most of it went away. then in the last hour it came down heavy, froze over the water in the garden and covered everything again!!

I too am jealous of those who got snow! Last night we just got a dusting. It's not worth it to be this cold if there isn't a bunch of snow to play in!

^ I used to see so much snow way back in the days of yore, before Mr. Gore screwed my seasons up with his 'Global Warming'. I miss those winters.

its raining now, so his nose fell off and he resembles a war veteran with amputated arms, but he's hanging in there!

^^ Aw, he's still cute! Are those brussel sprouts for eyes? I'm usually a lot lazier than you are and end up using branches for arms

He's done well surviving all this rain, as its been bucketing down for the past 2 hours. its supposed to snow again till the weekend however so hopefully i can make him back up tomorrow.. Tho with missing an eye, a nose and having 2 nubs for arms i dont think he will be catching the eyes of any snow-women soon

You all need to come to Michigan. There has been snow on the ground since December and we now have about a foot on the ground. It's all dirty nasty snow at this point though and everyone is sick of it! And it is bloody freezing here. Worst, coldest winter in years. |

I maybe frozen, but I'm in a good mood - went out to a free in-store gig and LOVED the band! Kind of like Bell X1's poppiermusic + Fleet Foxes + Mumford & Sons + Dan Mangan. They were fantastic! And local, so there should be a lot more gigs from them in the city this year. http://www.myspace.com/brucepeninsula |

My sister-in-law e-mailed a newsletter from her kid's pre-school, and they have a "Kids Say the Darndest Things" column. Out of 10 sayings, my nephew Liam, who will turn three this weekend, had 3! One of them was, "This is weird. Do you know what weird is? I don't". He also said, "We're voting for Uncle-bama" (meaning Barack Obama), and to another kid he said, "I know more words than you".
He was at my house yesterday, and all the kids were in the kitchen. I said, "Ok, everybody out of the kitchen!" and Liam went running out yelling, "Out, spot!" I thought I was going to die. My mother-in-law says that sometimes when she is washing her hands (taken from McBeth) and I guess he picked it up from her. Another smile: it's going to be warm this weekend! |

Nothing. Maybe thinking of the expression "eyes like pissholes in the snow", but I don't think that counts.

after holding back for about a month i found the courage to tell my family about my travelling/busking plans. they were shocked at first and we talked about 2 hours on the phone, but i could make them understand. feeling way better now. the pressure's gone.

^ Awesome!! Glad things are going well with that. They're probably going to be pretty worried about you, make sure you contact them a lot!
My smiles for the day: it's beautiful and spring-like today. Too bad it's going to be about 20 degrees colder the rest of the week. Also, I found a pair of jeans that fit perfectly and look awesome. It may not sound like much, but I've always had so much trouble finding pants that fit really well, so this is a big thing for me, lol. I wore them to a party yesterday and got a lot of compliments on them, and they are so comfortable. I wish I'd bought an extra pair, but I was in a hurry when I tried them on and didn't realise how great they were. I'm going to look for more on-line, maybe I can get them cheaper. |

i know exactly what you're talking about! my biggest problem is, that most of them are too long, even if they'd fit alright. and i'm soooooooooo tired of shortening my pants!
my smile was going out last night! although some of the girls were real drama queens sometimes, it was a laugh! i haven't been really out for quite a while. and it was nice as well because i felt really pretty last night and got a lot of compliments as well which just feels nice sometimes

^Yay for compliments!
I have the same problem with pants being too long. I actually found these pants in the girls' department - I've been having luck with the girls' plus sizes, they are the perfect length, and usually don't have all the sequins and pink butterflies and what-not stitched onto the butts like the regular girls' jeans. |

i haven't tried the girl's department yet. although i've thought about it... i recon they'd still be too long for me sometimes... ah, well... there's always something that fits somehow
