Question Damien Rice Rarities - help!

Hi

I'm relatively new to Damien Rice and I've loved everything I've heard so far. I've been hunting round to find more of his material, and it seems like there's loads - but it's not as clear where a lot of it comes from! Here's what I understand so far:

"O"
---
Delicate
Volcano
The Blower's Daughter
Cannonball
Older Chests
Amie
Cheers Darlin'
Cold Water
I Remember
Eskimo
Prague (hidden track)
Silent Night (hidden track)

B-sides:
--------
The Professor
Lonelily
Woman Like A Man
Moody Mooday

Live From The Union Chapel
--------------------------
BMG PROMO CD
- Then Go
- Baby Sister
- Be My Husband
DAILY TELEGRAPH CD
- Childish

Compilation: EmBraces
---------------------
Damien Rice - Face ***is this an original composition?***

COLLABORATIONS:
----------------
Lonely Soldier - Damien Rice & Christy Moore
Unplayed Piano - Damien Rice & Lisa Hannigan

COMPILATION: Goldfish Memory OST
> Once I Loved - Rice / Hannigan / Long
> Desafinado I - Rice / M.D.K. / Long
Desafinado II - Rice / Hannigan / Long
> Waters Of March - Rice / Hannigan / Long

Jerry Fish & The Mudbug Club - Be Yourself
(features Damien Rice)
Tracks:
01. My Friend Jim
02. Upside Down
03. Life Story
04. It Don't Get Much Better Than This
05. Bob & God
06. True Friends
07. Mr. Clean
08. Anyway The Wind Blows
09. Daddy Was A Devil
10. Let It Roll
11. Be Yourself

Mic Christopher - What A Curious Notion
> Backing vocals from Lisa Hannigan

The Frames - Sideways Down
> Backing vocals from Lisa Hannigan

Tori Amos - The Power Of Orange Knickers
> featuring Damien Rice

COVER VERSIONS ON COMPILATIONS:
-------------------------------
Creep / The Blower's Daughter [Live At Glastonbury 2004]
> Compilation: Glastonbury Jukebox (July 2005) - Q
Get The Party Started - Damien Rice and Lisa Hannigan
> Compilation: Even Better Than The Real Thing Vol.1
Hallelujah (Live) - Jeff Buckley Cover?
> Compilation: The Irish Live
Happy Christmas (War Is Over)
> Compilation: It's All Bells
Seven Nation Army - Vyvienne Long
> Compilation: Even Better Than The Real Thing Vol.2

> Compilation: Like A Version

WHICH I THINK THEREFORE MEANS THAT ALL OF THESE ARE FROM BOOTLEGS:
9 Crimes
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
Babylon (David Gray cover)
Billie Jean
Boring Afternoon
Bottom Shelf
Down
Face
Famous Blue Raincoat (L. Cohen)
Fool
Friend
Front Door
Glory Box (Portishead cover)

I Just Can't Help...
Insane

Sex Change
Sand
Solid Road
Stand By Me (B. E. King)
Still Haven't Found What...
The Blower's Daughter Part Two
The Girl Dances
The Girl Who Does Yoga (??)
Toffee Pop
Tongue
Unchained Melody (Righteous Brothers coveR)
Walking On The Moon (Police cover)
Wake Joe Interlude
Weatherman
We Kill
What Do You Know About Love?
Wooden Horse

Sooooooooo - I have some questions about each of these tracks:
- Are they live recordings or studio outtakes?
- Are they original compositions or cover versions?
- Are they even available?!
- Are there any songs missing from this list (I'd like to get everything I can!)

If people could let me know about each of these, I'd be really greatful

Thanks,

AT.

impressive list you've got there! magnus who used to be here once made a list like that, i'll try to find it so you can see if there's anything missing. all of the unreleased material is live material i think, although maybe some of the juniper material could be studio outtakes (?)

in this thread are some links to get some of the stuff:
http://www.eskimofriends.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=3821

how to get live recordings:

i have put 'accidental babies' and 'willy' up here:

a list of cover songs:
http://www.eskimofriends.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=2595

an attempt of a full songs list:
http://www.eskimofriends.com/forum/s...2&page=1&pp=20

both of these may be outdated, but you can cross check them with your list. i'm afraid i'm WAY too lazy to do this work for you but i hope it was a wee help anyways.

Damn it, I went ahead and listened to "Accidental Babies", delighted I did now! It's so beautiful!! From just one listen it shoots very high up on my list of favourite Damo songs. It's really great. I think you should go ahead & listen to it too. No matter how guilty you feel, it will be worth it!!

hi buenos, welcome to the igloo.

md5 files are sort of signature files to verify the integrity of shn files. i believe that you have to have mkwACT installed to run .md5 files

check this out:
Quote:
This is used to verify the integrity and "fingerprint" them. Since shns are large files, they can get corrupted more easily than smaller files during data transfer or during data CD burning. A SHN file copied without glitches should always be identical to its parent SHN, and have the same checksum "fingerprint", meaning the md5 verification will report no errors. If the SHN was changed through corruption, it will no longer match its original fingerprint and the check will fail.
