i thought it was a post that strangely linked "viking moses" and "fiona apple", i was mistaken.
Gwen: i think we should make names for our kids which ensure that they don't get the **** kicked out of them at school, seeing that their famous parents will already be an easy topic for bullying. Chris: good idea, hmmm... how about... Apple, and um... Moses! Gwen: Good idea chris! TBH, so long as the kids don't get tooooo much stick, the names are quite cute, apple... is like... aawwww, my ickle wickle apple, hehe. I quite like the names to.

The apple is something from the bible, isn't it? The forbidden fruit...a symbol for temptation and sin? And Moses was the one who could split a tomato soup into two halfs, right? ( )

zappa named his kids dweezil and moon unit.. and don't forget zowie bowie lol
it's not just celebs tho, i've known kids named sunshine, unique, harley, rumor, etc. i personally wouldn't do that to a child, but i think biblical names are nice.. maybe not moses in particular but some of them.. |

As long as you don't name your kids Golden Delicious, Ida Red or Granny Smith...
Maybe I'm gonna call my children...Poo, or Tool. Makes it easier, cos the belittling (if you tell somebody off) is already included. "No, ye tool, don't grab that f*ckin pot, it's hot, d'you wanna burn yerself?!!" |

i quite like biblical names too.. if i ever have kids i wanna call them noah and imogen.. yeah kinda funny names but i like them, they're unusual and i'd prefer to have an apple and a moses than a gobnait and a cillian..

yep definitely!! i like noah and imogen....i'm not oh so keen on moses but ya know whatever! there's no way my kids are getting plain old names...
i had the piss ripped outta me at school cos of my name, it didn't make me hate it and it didn't get to me at all...i couldn't give two ****s what other people think of my name...i love it! therefore my kids will be getting ridiculous names and loving them hahahahaha |

Nothing wrong with biblical names...they're quite common, even if people don't realise it (Rachel, for example). Some of the names people pick though (not just celebrity) are just cruel...I remember reading an article on how there was a trend emerging in the States, where parents were naming their kids after brand names...Reebok, Timberland etc

Me and Katie named our daughter Suri. Which means "Princess".
There were rumours sayin that I'm gonna eat the placenta of my partner after the birth. And all I can say is...yes, I did.

i would be happy with "sodium soreyes"
"hydrogen prostate" "calcium cáicface" "copper sulken" or for a girl.. "jonathan" "mike" "bike" everyone wants a go "trike" (harder now with higher speed) "head and shoulders" (washing in on top of me) OR "plastic sheeting"
