WOOO!! Me acaban de responder mi correo y se supone que estoy en la lista!! No te mandaron algo Lillian?
Mi única duda es que no firme mi correo, pero mi nombre aparece junto a mi dirección de e-mail, entonces supongo que lo tomaron de ahí. |

WOW! I never thought I would have so much fun
I would love to write a full and exciting review from last night, but I'm not a lot-of-words girl unfortunately :/ Anyway, I'll try my best. I recorded the whole concert, the audio is kind of crap but at least you can tell all the songs, I'm listening to it right now and here's the setlist. The Professor Delicate Elephant Coconut Skins Amie (he also told the story of that song before playing it) Older Chests Cannonball (totally acoustic, no mic or anything) --- Woman Like A Man Eskimo Friend Animals Were Gone I Remember 9 Crimes Grey Room Cold Water Hallelujah (he played with the lights off these two last songs) Childish Accidental Babies Rootless Tree Volcano (with everyone singing along, each part of the venue a different verse, it sounded SO great) -Encore- The Blower's Daughter (some drunk guys started fighting so everyone got up and went near the stage, so thanks guys! haha) Cheers Darlin' Here are some pictures, I'm uploading the rest of them later this afternoon but I wanted to share at least a few right now. I also recorded some songs on video, if they're any good I'll put them on youtube. That's all for now, more updates later :P Just to end this, it was awesome. Damien was in a great mood, it was a good audience I think. Just his voice and his guitar, a nice vibe definitely. And I'll tell you about the recording of the tv session later Last edited by Lilian; 01-22-2009 at 02:57 PM. |

You seemed to have got some rare ones. Glad you had a good time!
I don't think he plays Grey Room, Animals were Gone, Childish or Hallelujah that much. I wonder why he starts every gig with Professor.. |

As I was telling Lillian, he also sang "Then Go"!! I was very happy he did that He sang it right after "Accidental Babies" so setlist is as follows: The Professor Delicate Elephant Coconut Skins Amie (he also told the story of that song before playing it) Older Chests Cannonball (totally acoustic, no mic or anything) --- Woman Like A Man Eskimo The Animals Were Gone I Remember 9 Crimes Grey Room Cold Water Hallelujah (he played with the lights off these two last songs) Childish Accidental Babies Then Go Rootless Tree Volcano (with everyone singing along, each part of the venue a different verse, it sounded SO great) -Encore- The Blower's Daughter (some drunk guys started fighting so everyone got up and went near the stage, so thanks guys! haha) Cheers Darlin' I'll write a little review shortly. It was a great night! Also worth noting now is that he played like 5 seconds of "Sand" and then just decided against it and went to "Childish" instead. AMAZING!
actually, i wanna listen he sings "Sand" and a little bit of "Desafinado", in portuguese! I'm sure the hole place will sing this with him.! it would be heaven for me but, as i said to my friends, problably i'll be in state of emergency if he sings The professor, Delicate and Elephant as he sang in Mexico City... wow my 3 favorites ever. i'm sooooo excited! thank you for post this, the pics are amazing!!! Next week he'll be here in Brazil |

He usually starts gigs with an acoustic or piano song. The Professor, Delicate, Cannonball, 9 Crimes.
Looks like a terrific setlisrt, and pretty long too, right? I'd ballpark a set with that many songs at close to 2 hours. |

Anyone signed up for Jan 31st/Feb 1st?
Interesting point to note, I looked at Ticketmaster.br for Seu Jorge concert on 31st, which mentions that there will be a DVD made of the concert (I think). I wonder if Damo will feature.. Edit: link - http://www.ticketmaster.com.br/shwRe...releaseID=2098 |
