Default Vyvienne Long on The Review, RTE1...now

In between the break of Podge & Rodge, the begining of "The Review" statred. It said Vyvienne is going to be on it tonight, doing a song.

I liked it, well done Vyviene if you read this (which of course you will!).

Did anyone hear what he said in the intro? I missed it, just caught him saying she'd be touring with Damien again before the end of the year.

Now since I dont have a DVD recorder I did take some 3x30sec video clips for ye foreigners on my camera sitting in front of the tv (soooooo ninties!).
But....it does say on youtube that youre not allowed to upload stuff from tv... should I just ignore that?

ignored my last comment;

Rough and ready/ temporary; Peter Jackson move over....

Part 1 (first verse)

Part 2 (second chorus)

Part 3 (final verse)

It was just luck that each verse fit in about 30sec.
No wonder she looked nervous, the camera zoom got very close on the final verse - the dubbing on this one too is wonky, thats RTE, not me.

Time for bed

The song is called "They're Not Waving". I guess you haven't got her EP yet then, eh? You really should, it's absolutely amazing. Can't recommend it enough - I've been cheekily sending out tracks from it to all of my nearest and dearest.

you can watch it on the official RTÉ site:

"You may have heard me playing Vyvienne Long quite a bit on the radio show. Well, in advance of a session she has recorded for 'The JK Ensemble, which goes out later this month, she's here tonight for 'The View'. She has recently released her debut EP, 'Birdtalk' and will be back on tour with Damien Rice later this year. Here with 'They're Not Waving', Vyvienne Long."
