I'm a bit sceptical about the contents... Using "sustainable" and "organic farming" in the same sentence usually raises a huge red flag.

Agree. I still believe it is possible to find a balance between consumerism/capitalism and sustainability. Sure the financial crises affected Iceland and their way of seeing the world?? I remember DR talked about in Reykjavik...

asked on FB about the title of Damien song, and they answered me this:

We'll let you know really soon - the soundtrack will be ready in just a couple more weeks. If you're in Iceland though, you can always watch the film and the song title is in the credits

maybe some Icelandish Eskimo (BrokenDoll!!) can go & watch the movie & tell us which Damien song is there hint hint!!

lol! I might actually go and check it out. But probably not until next weekend, because I'm bussy.

I have to admit, it's pretty sweet to be a Damien fan in Iceland! ^^,

Red face

I can't wait to hear the new song. It's good to hear this news, because it felt like he fell off of the face of the earth after Sommerfesten. I mean, we're his eskimo friends, he could say hey every once in a while!

^ yes, facebook is evil, i can't stand it, and if another person outside of facebook says where's the "like" button i'm going to snap. if you like something just say so, you don't need a button.

it says here that the soundtrack will be released this month

http://www.icelandmusic.is/news/1503/Ampops-Biggi-To-Release-Film-Soundtrack!/default.aspx

The film also features tracks from Damien Rice, Ampop, Lára, Feldberg, Blindfold and Vyvienne Long. A soundtrack album is in the making and will be released this October, followed by a release concert in London and Reykjavík.

i wonder if damien and vyv will be involved in the release concerts..

I 'like' this, where's the like button, I'm too f-ing lazy to type! (hehe, Sistermidnight!)

Yay! I hope they'll do the release concert (even if I can't make it overseas to see it.) It's good to hear about him every once in a while, so we don't think he just fell off of the planet or something.

Wait!
Can that really happen?
I won't go to Australia because I'm afraid that I might fall off earth and fall into the sun.
Yikes. Let's hope Damien stays away from Australia.
