Nice one Vienna! I wasn't expecting you to have done that quite so quickly. How's the playing of it going then?

DRI, it cost a whopping 500 smackeroonies! Worth every penny though, especially as I managed to blag a free hard case WITH A LOCK!

i'm back home for a bit and got exams to revise for so i haven't been playing it although someone taught me a couple of chords! woohoo, although i've by no means mastered them and my hands are too small!! all in good time!

Lucky you Vienna. Keep playing it, cos once you can play a couple of songs, you'll actually want to play it more. Oh and as for small hands, my hands are tiny but with practice it can be done. I'm thinking about moving to Brizzol soon so maybe I'll give you a lesson some time.

Grace, you can't learn without one.

nice guitar tom! looks slightly like mine and cutaways are always a great choice ive found

a guitar grows with age... i got worried when i spent 800 euro but its probably one of the best things ive ever done... my guitar playing has multiplied now

Yeah, I see it as a kinda investment. I mean I had my £170 guitar for the last 10 years, so that was £17 a year, which is nothing for something that I love and use so much.

As for the playing, as soon as the guitar was on my lap, I was busting out stuff that I normally struggle with.

yeh i guess it'll come with practice, but right now i just feel like my fingers will not stretch and twist in all manners of crazy ways....that's what it looks like you need to do!! but then again the guy who taught me those chords has about the same size hands as me so i'll be ok! so moving to brizzol eh?? i love it there! alas i'm off to mallorca for 5 months....i will miss it, but hopefully i'll get a tan! Tom, that's a beauty......Spruce top right, it's amazing what having the right guitar will do, now that I have the guitar of my dreams, I just can't stop playing it..............

I have a Martin cutaway MC16GTE

I actually got out the ole needle nose pliers and fixed my string the other week, they do cost a bundle and I hate the way new strings sound................

Enjoy it!

reyvee61, it has a solid Canadian Cedar top rather than spruce which Taylor describes as having "...a smoother, somewhat warmer tone than spruce, cedar tops hold irresistible appeal for many fingerstylists." I know it's not a Taylor but the principal is the same.

Ian, no, it doesn't have a name yet, though I considered calling it Tom just to confuse people.

Everyone else, thanks for the comments.
