buckley's version of hallelujah is one of my favorites! but every time i play it at one of my gigs, somebody comes up and asks me if that is the song from Shrek. i have given up trying to discuss the genius of Leonard Cohen to them, oh well. i have spent the weekend getting my website up and running. that is progress! (even though only half of it is updated)

sorry bout that.... found it here actually...on the forum, i forget which thread it came up on but someone (maybe tj_rev???) wrote about playing it and that it was built around G, C and D. Those work, i don't think they are perfect though. This is what it works out to... G C G C G C I take my self from the bottom shelf GC And I reel my troubles in GC And I put them up on a higher hill G C To a place I’ve never been. G C And I’ll wait for you if you want me to, GC Am I just wasting my time? GC And I’ll wait for you if you ask me to, G C Am I just losing my mind? DC And im always hanging on, D C And im always closing doors, D C And im always saying no, C GC No, when I really really want it all G C When I really really want it all G C When I really really want it all G C When I really really want you. That's what I figured out from basing it around G,C, and D. The strumming isn't really hard to figure out if you listen to it a few times cause all in all it seems like a really simple song. Tell me what you guys think, if its any good i'll send it to emmett, don't really know how though... Cheers
