New Guitar
Howdy peeps... I'm going shopping for a new acoustic guitar on Wed. Has anyone got a new acoustic of late? If so, whats it been like and would you recommend it?

i got one for my boyfriend for christmas, but i have to double check the model again, when i'm back in vienna. it's a lovely one anyway, even i can play it properly and it sounds just so great, really pure! i'm gonna let you know anyway if you want...

I live in the U.S. so I'm not sure my input matters since I don't know what selection you have over there, but....
I'm assuming you're looking at low-end pricing. As far as low end ($200-$500) guitars usually go, I have always had the best experience playing Ibanez, Alvarez, Seagull (canadian-made), and more specifically Takamine. I think out of the whole lower-mid price range ($200-$1000) Takamine has done the best job of making a quality sounding guitar for that price. Actually, as of my recent music shoppe trip, I can't stop thinking about how I should have bought a Takamine instead of my Martin Dm. I feel like I'm having a love affair. Anyway I hope that helps, and play a lot of different things before you buy! |
