Dallas Show May 7th 2007
Ok, here is the set list for the Dallas Show:
9 Crimes Delicate Volcano Animals Were Gone I Remember Rootless Tree (Piano Version) Dogs Aime Me, My Yoke, and I Face (per request form a birthday girl in the audience) Eskimo The Professor/La Fille Danse ----------- Encore ----------- The Blower's Daughter Cannonball I plan to write more about the show tomorrow when I get home from work, but I really need to head to bed and get some sleep. I have a big long week at work this week and I don't want to be to beat tomorrow. However I will say this, it was a great freaking show! Also when Damo preformed Cannonball, he walked out to the front of the stage and turned off the electronics to his guitar. At first I thought something was wrong, then it dawned on me that he was in front of the mic and that he was doing this on purpose. It was simply amazing! The stripped down, all acoustic version was so intimate and powerful. It was as though I had stumbled into a small coffee bar only to see this guy set up in the corner playing his music to sooth the patrons. I have not been online here in a while so I don't know if Damien has been doing this regularly, but I was blown away. Truly a night to remember. Good night to all the Dallasites and all the Eskimos for now. :-) |

Agreed and much more coherent than my other chatter - thank you!!
A truely awesome show and with amie and eskimo seemed like we had a good vibe - something a tad different than what he has been been playing lately - loved eskimo - I think that was for you summer and jen!!! |

Yes it was I that got him to play eskimo.. I danced most the time when I wasnt freaking out.. and I MET HIM!!! (macrossgirl-1, spam-347) hehe Yes, I still smell like him. Ok, that sounds bad but I will give ya more tomorrow. I am high from it all. Bloody brilliant! And was he not hysterical?? And p.s. I LOVED the rootless version, didnt you?? Did you see me this time? I was in a black and white skirt with monster platforms. Which made the hug interesting. Why am I delirious and going on and on? ARG! Ok, and Bread you were right.. I can not believe how his voice carried. It was a song itself. Just lovely. I still have chills. Why am I still typing? I did meet some eskimos. Which I better hear from if they know whats good for em. hehe Love you guys.. SHOUT OUT from Macross. hehe Who got hugged by Dames. Did I mention that? I did? Ok.. off I go. xoxo from me, the one that smells like Dames and loves him even more for being so nice. Cheers!
**Hope my okie-mo's made the drive back ok!!!! Hope your bday was fab.. a song (Face) by Dames, and happy bday wishes didnt suck! hehe

I was there too! I had a blast, a night to remember of my entire life. Damien blew me away. It was the first time that I assisted to one of his concerts. Loved Me, My Yoke, and I. I laughed so hard when he told us those stories hahaha, everyone enjoyed it so much, and how about that girl who kind of started singin' eskimo and we all were like Shhhhh!!! hahahaha.... that was a bloody night!
Thanks Damo |
