Don't know if this is common knowledge or not but justed wanted to let ye know that there is an album out now called 'The Secret Life of Birds' (based on a drama production of the same name) in which Lisa contributes a lot. It has beautiful packaging and the cover includes a beautiful handwritten by Lisa. Haven't heard it yet, buying it tomorrow so can't comment on the songs but I'm pretty sure it is a colloboration between herself and Lucas. Anyway, happy listening.

Sorry, just to clarify, in case I cause trouble (again!) that it is not actually her album so in retrospect the title of the thread is somewhat misleading but I think she does sing (in?) most of the songs on the album. Will let ye know tomorrow for sure. Sorry again.

I have it.
Lisa does no more than backing vocals on a couple of tracks its almost all Lucas. The songs are a lot more mellow then how the band usually perform them and too be honest its not spectacularly good ( about 6/10) but there are a couple of good songs on it. Sirpigenous is really great live and quite good on this recording.

Depends on how much it is. Its worth the fiver I paid for it so anything in the region would be fine. BUT, when Lucas are massive (and they will be, well maybe not massive, but biggish) your copy will appreciate in value. It just won't be worth as much as my signed copy.

I bought it at the show Lucas supported Damien at and saw Alan (the singer) and asked him to sign it.

No, see my last post. To have seen the play when I never go to the theatre would have ventured a little too close to the selective walking thing we were discussing. They still sell it at gigs and if they have copies of it next time I see them (I think they are coming back to dublin towards the end of may) I'll get you a copy. I owe you for the Jeff CD's.
Why am I not sending this in PM? Ah well.

The play and the CD are called "The Mysterious World of Birds". Yes, the packaging is beautiful, but I didn't know the handwriting was Lisa's (are you sure). I thought it was Jessamyn Fiore's (director). Anyway, Jessamyn's second play is playing at the moment in Andrew's Lane Studio. It's called "Keep". The last night is tomorrow I think. If anyone's interested - although lisa isn't in this one. B |

The only place I have seen it available is in my local record store because theowner is really into gettingmusic that no other store has and also the play that the music is based on was started where I live (I think?) so I don't think there is any chance they will have it in America.

I bought their CD (Secret life of Birds) after the gig - it really is amazing music. Lisa sings on 2 or 3 of the songs, and she sounds as brilliant as always! I didn't meet them but I met the lead singer of the other support act Pedestrian, Joel Shearer, and he signed my CD for me. Their CD is amazing as well! Damien really knows great music when he hears it! |

Lucas played support to Damien at his Vicar Street gig last December. I bought their CD (Secret life of Birds) after the gig - it really is amazing music.
