^ Yeah, I agree that it's not really anyone's business, and it's time for people to drop the Damien & Lisa story. They've been on separate roads for ages now; enough is enough.
Though I think the line of questioning was inevitable, considering the fact that the guy who interviewed Lisa here is the same guy who gave the Damien interview in 2009. |

Anyone ever heard of this song?
It's David Kitt feat. Lisa Hannigan "Don't **** With Me": You don't really hear Lisa all that much, but I really like it! EDIT: Hahaha, they may splash the f-word in this forum, but you can see it in the title of the video!

Back when we had bio section on the site, the Lisa section had this song listed among the list of her collaborations. I'd never heard it though.... It's apparently from Kitt's 2006 Not Fade Away record.

Not everything is “perfect” in Hannigan’s world – her Wikipedia page, for one. “There’s so much misinformation about me there,” says Hannigan, sweetly. “Especially, all the stuff about me and Damien [Rice]. There was all this speculation about us after I left his band [Hannigan sang with the singer-songwriter from 2001 to 2007. They also had a romantic relationship]. And all these supposed bad feelings and broken hearts. It was weird, but we sorted it out ages ago. Anyway, I wanted to change all the stuff about that on my Wiki page. But my page lady said, ‘Oh, it’s a conflict of interest for you to write your own stuff. And besides, the amount you want to change is too much!’ So, I’m stuck with all this stuff that isn’t true. Yes, my reign of terror against them has just begun.”

Yes, James Valentine was very happy indeed that he said yes to Lisa Hannigan coming on the program. After he listened to her album he was most pleased and describes her music as "instant joy" Irish singer Lisa Hannigan first came to prominence a few years ago when she sang with Damien Rice. Now she is making it as a solo artist, she deserves just as much attention. Her second album "Passenger" has just been released and you can catch Lisa at the Opera House November 11th as part of Way to Blue: The Songs of Nick Drake. Listen in again or for the first time below. James and Lisa chatted all about music, musical influences and Ireland in 2011! http://blogs.abc.net.au/nsw/2011/11/...es-to-her.html |

Lisa on a rooftop in Sydney, singing "Lille" "O Sleep" & "Passenger." At least that's what it says. The Sims on facebook froze my computer and nothing is working well right now. =/ |

Interview with Lisa
So, my friend runs a networking website for Irish people moving to London which I occasionally contribute to. She recently got offered the chance of an interview with Lisa Hannigan on the promo trail for Passenger and knowing how much I love her, offered it to me
The result can be read here http://www.glaslondon.com/?page_id=32 It was such an a amazing experience to meet her, she was just absolutely lovely and charming. I would love to have just transcribed that whole half hour, but it wouldn't make for good blog reading! Hope you like |

Thanks Cille.
We had such an awesome chat, about her videos, about the music, about whether the lads were doing Movember or not! A great laugh, such a lovely lively person

Thank you very much for the link, Marti! I loved Away in A Manger and Lisa's version of O Holy Night, very beautiful! I Believe in Father Chrstmas was not quite my cup of tea, but it was lovely anyway.
@ mariaoran: I sent you a pm... If anybody else wants the mp3s of the songs, just let me know...

imagine being in that radio show, Lisa Hannigan + Nerina Pallot, probably the 2 most beautiful women in music <3
doing the re-listening thing now, it's available on the bbc site for 1 week, Lisa & Nerina play/chat during the last hour!!
