I was watching Extra last night and I saw an early trailer for the Jude Law, Julia Roberts movie Closer. They use "The Blower's Daughter" in the very beginning of the trailer when Jude and Julia are walking down the street. I remember hearing Vyv's cello part and the "I cant take my eyes off of you" part. I got so excited last night, i cant wait to go see the movie!

I don't think there's a website (yet), but if you go to www.sonypictures.com and click on Closer (under coming soon), you can see the trailer! Seeing Jude Law and hearing Damien is sensory overload[img]smileys/smiley36.gif[/img]!! Can't wait to see it...

Excellent trailer! looks like a good film. Aw, damo's song fits in perfectly! I always pictured it being used in a film where someone loves someone else who's dying.........like at the end of City of Angels where Meg Ryan gets knocked down..............Depressing I know but so emotional, just like the song!

ok, that trailer does look promising. and sounds like a great ST too. goose bumps during the first lines of 'blower's...', even though i know that song so well. i guess it is very cinematic, sort of, and goes well with moving pictures. wonder what it will feel like to someone who doesn't know this song at all to get introduced to it like that? i'm quite sure a lot of ppl will fall in love with it now.[img]smileys/smiley1.gif[/img]

totally agree. If I'd never heard of that song before( [img]smileys/smiley3.gif[/img]) I'd definitely fall in love with it once I heard it in that movie.

Yep just watched the trailer does totally give me goose bumps. If I had never heard that song before I would definitly fall in love with it and look it up its just so amazing. I am so excited to watchthis fillm. I dont think my boyfriend will take me to another jude law film though not after me drooling all through cold mountain. does look like a bit of a chick flick too. could be wrong, though, cause the relationship theme does seem a bit more interesting and darker than the regular chick flick thingy, judging from what i can sense from that trailer. (always hard to tell what a film is REALLY like from a trailer, though[img]smileys/smiley5.gif[/img])

Blowers daughter is supposedly running throughthe opening and closing credits. Alot of people are seeing this trailer now and asking that question "Who sings that one song in the beginning". I went to imdb.com to read the message boards for closer and there was a great deal of mention about blowers daughter. However, one person said something like "i love the songs...i know the first song is a cover of 'cant take my eyes of off you' by damien rice"....i cringed after reading that

Ooooh this is goinng to be a movie i will darg my friends to to see. I've always had a picture in my head of what should be going on when i hearBD and cold water it will be good to see if it touches it. I think i will cry though those songs i find Very emotional anyway.

It was funny actually. I was in the new yorkcity about a month ago and they were shooting a movie where we were walking. My girlfriend and myself tried to stick around and perhaps be an extra or something but the rest of our friends werent having it. Anyway, i see that it is a movie called closer, so i go home and do a little research and read the igloo board and find out that damien was on/doing the soundtrack. Very surprised and excited about that. Of all the movies i walk through, its the one damien is on.

seriously cant wait[img]smileys/smiley1.gif[/img]!! his songs are ideal for the type of film this one is soundin like.lookin at jude law&listenin 2 damien is total heaven (even if julia roberts rears her irritating head yet again - will she ever go away??)

Hahaha! People don't necessarily pay attention to the soundtrack close enough to want to find out about the artiste, I think. Anyways... oohhh I'm hyperventilating. The trailer started out with one of the most gorgeous songs in the world, and... one of the most gorgeous men ever, Jude Law.... *thud* Mr Law ages so finely... Mmmmm.
