I always took "the stain of my love" in the paper mache to be masturbating in to a tissue.

I hope that's not just me!!!

in all actuality i think thats probably what it's about ... and not to mention in the new press release he does talk about writing about immature things in a nice way ... so i do believe thats what it is about ... masturbating into kleenex

To remove the stain of my love
Paper maché

I thought it meant she would be hard to remove from his mind, body and soul. adhered to him like Paper maché.
Hmm you guys certainly give me a different perspective. lol!

I also sort of thought that it was sort of about her being hard to remove but i suppose it probably isn't. Still an amazing song

knowing how Damo works - it's probably both. He's very clever at writing lyrics that are both literal and metaphorical, and often ambiguous, and nearly always open to alot of interperetation.

I think this is one of my favorite threads.

Anyone else note that most of the guys that posted thought it was the paper mache thing, and most of the girls that posted thought it was the other? A sign of the way different genders think? Or, were the ladies just at a disadvantage from not having that sort of, um, experience, and so would not as easily make that interpretation?

I'm opting for the second. I would never have thought of the paper mache thing. Now that I've heard this interpretation, it makes sense. Thanks for sharing!

I am a lady, and I certainly think Damien is talking about having a furious, filthy wank.
