Leave
So I bought the Swell Season album by Glen & Marketa Irglova a couple days ago (it's a beautiful album btw) and I am really liking the song Leave. I believe Glen co-wrote the song with Damien (he's not credited in the album jacket though), and in my opinion the lyrics sound more Damo-y than Glen-y per se and I was wondering if Damien has ever sang the song and if anyone has a recording.
Thanks if anyone has any! |

I'm afraid I don't know... but here's a *bump* to help you find out.

i heard glen play 'leave' on the ray-joe, he said that damien had contributed some mad guitar bit at the end but that the song was more or less written beforehand. so i think it's glen's, but i agree it sounds quite damo-y, lyrics, really shout-y bit towards the end, even the chords....

aha so glen's robbing damien's style now eh?
it really does sound like a damien song though! the music and the lyrics especially.. i thought i had heard they wrote some songs together for a film and this was one of them.. anyway i would love to hear damien sing it, it's a brilliant song. |

I found the show where Glen mentions that he co-wrote it with Damien -- Sept. 30, 2005 (in LA) (p.s. check your PMs ) |

at the frames last concert about 2 nights ago, it seemed like I was the only one who bought the cost.
but anyway when he asked for "any requests?" i shouted "LEAVE LEAVE LEAVE LEAVE LEAVE" totalling six times and he still hadnt heard me cos everyone was shoutin for fitzcarraldo bastards and he named Louis Walsh a number of nasty names that night

For anyone intrested, you can download 2 full The Frames shows from their IrishMusicCentral page The LA show and the Seattle show from 2005. Glen sings Leave in both the shows and briefly mentions Damo.
