norway summer fest

Hi all,

anyone know how to get info on Norweigen sommerfesten? Website doesn't have english version, wondering where to fly into etc...

Hey there,
there is this web site called "Visit Ålesund" (http://www.visitalesund-geiranger.com/en/) where you can find information.

The best thing thing would probably be to take a flight to Oslo Lufthavn and then take the flight to Vigra Lufthavn, which is the one closest to Giske, the island where Sommerfesten will be.

The festival starts around 12:00 saturday and finishes around 02:00 sunday.He will play saturday evening and he will play around 30 min.

30 min for a festival headliner???? that's nothing... I was expecting like a 2hour slot!!

I'm not sure,but that what I've heard....But it is only 14h festival and many artists...anyway I would go even if He was playing for 10 min....

Btw the Giske island here in Norway has a really beautiful recording studio and under the festival an artist will record something in that studio...well they are encouraging people to buy a "volunteer ticket" for the festival (just a way to raise money to guarantee the next year festival) and they will randomly chose people who bought the ticket to watch the recording session... I asked one of the guys working at the festival who's the artist and he said it is secret. Just to feed your curiosity I will leave the link for pictures of the recording studio...
