Default Third single off 9???

Do you think there will be a third single off 9???

For a while I thought he was gonna release Dogs, like he did in the Netherlands... I think it would be a great summer single!!!

What do you all think?

I agree with you, but we haven't heard anything about singles in quite a while. Hmmm....

nah, don't think Dogs will come out everywhere else...at this stage I'd say we've had all the singles off 9

any idea why Dogs was Holland only?

I'd rather Coconut Skins... but who knows. They'd have a couple of weeks to make a video now if they were so inclined... but are they bothered?

Are we?
Personally, I couldn't care less about a third single. Just because I don't really see the point in it. Okay, maybe we'd get another b-side, but other than that...

I don't know why it was only in Holland. But this was an opportunity to release the recordings of the showcase (as you'll probably know).
They could make a mix of the showcases he did.

If it's up to me, Coconut Skins. An other sort song, a little more uptempo.
Accidental Babies is also okay.
Or a whole new idea of a release, no single of his latest album, but something else. You never know, it's Damien.

IMO, they never 'milk' the singles that much... I really wish for a 3rd single with lots of new b-sides!!!!!!!!

You're talking about a band that put three songs from their first album through twenty-four separate single releases and pressings over a four year period. After those there was Woman Like A Man, Lonely Soldier, Unplayed Piano, Live At Union Chapel, The B-Sides Ep and the Lonelily single.

Not that there's anything wrong with all that stuff being released on the back of one very non-commercial album. It's just that I don't know if I'd agree that they "never" milk singles.

I didn't explain myself very well. What I meant is exactly what you're saying... that if you're gonna release and re-release a lot of songs from O, at least don't put the same 3-bsides again and again.

Some artists give fans 4-5 new tracks with every single release, across all formats (many now are releasing 2 diff 7" and 2 diff CD singles). That's what I was meaning by 'not milking the singles' in Damien's case. For instance, they released 9 Crimes with 1 b-side, which was the same in the 7" and the CD single. Potentially we could have had 4-5 newies there, same with Rootless tree.

Ah good, thought you were going a bit mental there. This typing/sarcasm problem has come up before. Maybe we need a Chandler Bing smiley.
