There was a /?%$"/?%/?%"?! Damien Rice's show in Montreal (I live in Quebec) the day before yesterday and I haven't had a word of it. I'm F*cking angry about it... I've been waiting for this event for two years and I passed it by. That was in a bar and there was about 50 people to the show.

I'm hitting my head with a mace right now.

That's what i was thinking too... Have I been fooled?

Oh F*ck. Well, I've heard of an "unofficial gig" like if he was in Quebec for vacations and just played in a bar for fun. Is that real?

Damien's kind of a weird guy, but he's not mentally deranged enough to vacation in Quebec.

I'm not the kind of guy that will insult you back. Not on internet. I don't know, you could be a 12 years old papa's daughter, or anything else... So shoot what you have to shoot if it makes you feel kind of superior because you live in the United States and your nation is "protected by God"... Cause I just don't care!Edited by: QuebecFolk

Canada rocks!

As for the show... it's possible... but that would mean it was more of an impromptu jam than a gig... why not head down the bar tonight... he might be back

funny how that works out, huh?

and if i were you, i'd just brush it off as a stupid rumor that he was
there, because it's much easier to sleep at night that way.

don't be angry til you've heard from someone that was there.

Confirmed.

Damien Rice was in Montreal last tuesday and improvised a gig in a bar. It hadn't been announced or anything. Tomo and Shane weren't there though. It was a very intimate gig, as there were about 75 persons in the bar.

Well, I missed my chance, but how could have I known...

Oh, well, as long as you've "confirmed" it, it must be true.

It's up to you to believe it or not, the truth is that I don't give a ****.

I didn't write it here to convince anyone, just to express my disappointment. If you guys know the truth and I'm the stupid one, that'sfine for you!But as one of my friends that is also a big big Damien's fan was there, I prefer believing him than "forum mates". You'd probably do the same.

I'm all for peace, but I just gotta know what the translation for the insult:

Quote:
a 12 years old papa's daughter, or anything else...

is?

Is the papa of the daughter 12, or is the daughter of the papa 12?

It seems to me there are an awful lot of ***'s in this thread... let's try to avoid them... they get censored... this is a family friendly forum and it gives everything we say an edge which for the most part isn't intended.

You guys are absolutely right. As for the ***'s, I wrote them myself, it was like a "build-your-own" word

Someone just hit a sensitive point in me by throwing insults on my nations, which is never fun. I shouldn't have reacted, but I did. People laughing at Quebec never put a foot in it and they think we live in igloos or something like that. Man, Quebec is more than just Celine Dion and Bombardier.

That's so funny because I used to do that too, put the stars in myself... until I realized the forum did it for me

Things have been kind oftense around here lately and I'd like toapologize if I've come off harsh toward anyone, because I knowI have been b****y () because I've been really sick and going through nicotine withdrawal and... oh well there's no excuse but everybody gets in a bad mood sometimes, and certain things can really set a person off...

But hey! What's wrong with living in igloos?!
