Miss Lisa...
I find it a bit strange, as it didn't really hit me until now. Damien sings fine without her, but I suddenly just feel like things were not as they were. I guess I kind of have an "Older Chests" mentality of clinging to those things in the past we wish to last forever.

That's life my friend, things will never be what they used to be. Now lets all get on with the more important things in life like...breathing.

i loved the way Damien and Lisa's voices sounded together and how as they sung you could almost see and feel the story they were singing. . .

i agree, i miss lisa big time, but im a huge believer in her solo stuff, i think it could very well be better than damiens if she does it right, specially if vyv leaves.
but yeah thats life, it was gutting, still is, but meh, better things will come from it. PS: to all those who are planning to come here and be all "OMG GET OVER IT FORGODS SAKE", dont. we are over it, to remeniss is a form of closure if you like, we are just having a chat about damines music.

After some thought I realised that I don't miss Lisa. She'll still make music, not with Damien but lately I realised that she wasn't really fitting in. I mean that her voice is like the looks of Audrey Hepburn: no matter where ou put her, she'll dominate the environment. In songs like Unplaye Piano or Desafinado, she is so much above anything else that it seems that she is singing a different song. Her single verse in The Blower's daughter or The Professor just jumps out of the tune and punches you in the face and while she's singing, you (I) don't think about the rest of the song, because she 'steals' it. All in all, the bird has flow out so we'll notice the cage more times

she didn't go anywhere! i understand where your coming from by saying she sort of "steels it", so to speak and i think thats evidence that they are better off doing their own things. i miss the older chests and tongue and eskimo live, too.. i do. but she's not gone. if anything i think her flights just landing and she's almost at the gate.
