So the other night....
A couple of nights ago, I went to the Ray Lamontagne / David Ford show at the Orpheum in Los Angeles (GREAT show, by the way). First, I gotta say the Orpheum is an amazing venue and its gonna be a great place for a Damien show. Great sound system and really cool 1920s architecture.
But the coolest part of the night is that I met Damien. No joke. He showed up at the show pretty close to the encore and said hi to some friends sitting a few rows ahead of me. As he walked by me, I got his attention and we chatted for a minute or so. Really nice guy Anyways, I know all of you are as big of fans as I am, so I just had to share the story |

something similar happened to me at Vicar Street - i was just walking by earlier in the day to check out the location of the venue (im not local) - and he happened to walk out the front door - so I got to meet him. I was so immensley happy that I got o tell my idol how much his music means to me woo!

hehe nice one! Would have loved to have gone to EP...
i really think i was supposed to be Irish... I just love ireland and everything about it. Perhaps i'm damien's secret lovechild that he knows nothing about, and was adopted by a cornish family with whom i still live... no? ok... just out of interest - can you explain the meaning behind your username? x |

interesting Cornish adoption theory - i hear theyre all at it.
My username sucks dont it? I signed up to EF ages ago, but didnt really have a nickname to use, so i just came up with the lame-ass one i have, cos i was thinking "Damo Rice" so i could be "Eamo Rice," with 'Eamo' as in 'Eamonn'. i wonder if i can change it? |
