After many hours of pondering Damien Rice lyric, discussing withfriends the meaning behind some of the lines in his songs, we still have some unanswered questions.
what is a blower? is it a job description and if so what is that job?
we were also wondering other peoples opinion on the line "bombed by my excellent breed of gamete disease" when the dictionary definition of gamete is " a mature germ cell able to unite with another in sexual reproduction"
we would value other people input into these questions.

I don't think the lyrics of The Professor had much deeper meaning than to confuse. I read somewhere that the blower's daughter was about blowing up a balloon, that you had to make sure not to blow too hard or it would burst. I think that's what it means. Hope that helped!

damien fancied his flute's teachers daughter in school, hence.. the blower's daughter. it's as simple as that, don't believe any of those other stories you hear.

OK, sorry for spreading rumours. I was pretty sure I saw that somewhere though! Did anyone else see it, maybe it can save me from the wrath of Loveless!
