Ready for the Chicago Gig 7/13?
Hey, just gearing up for the Chicago gig and wondering if a lot of others are going? I've never been to the Charter One Pavilion at Northerly Island, what is it like? I have seats in section 201, which according to the little map, looks kind of far from the stage, I hope it is not...just wondering what the general atmosphere of the place is like, what to expect...
who's going? very excited |

I dont think one can have bad tickets. His voice envelopes you, and carrys you to the stage where he is. You are going to have a GREAT time! I only wish I were closer so i could go too!! *pout*

I am going to it. On Tuesday i was looking on the internet to see if there was any information on Damien Rice's new album and also Tom Mcrae's. I saw he would be in Chicago (a 2 hour drive from WI) in 2 days time. So i called my girlfriend who kind of likes the songs she has heard from him (delicate, volcano, cannonball, blowers daughter, professor, lonelily, and eskimo) and she said she would go. But i rushed in and didn't check where my seat was so i am far away from the stage. I wanted to see what i could have got if i paid the 45 instead of the 35, and i got section 104, row 3! 3 rows from the center of the stage. But i coulnd't get a refund on my tickets so i am stuck back in the middle of nowhere. Then i found out Damien rice is merely the opening act for Fiona apple, so i am leaving once the real show is over. Forget Fiona apple. I still can't wait though, but i am just a little dissapointed that It is not purely Damien, that my seat is in the boons, and Lisa won't even be there. But this is basically my view from 311 ( http://www.lightswitch.net/portfolio...method=display ). Not a bad skyline!
Here is some information on Charter one pavilion http://www.livenation.com/venue/getVenue/venueId/2889 http://www.chicagoparkdistrict.com/i...E7C589E0BA.cfm http://www.chicagoarchitecture.info/...e_Pavilion.php only 32 more hours! |

Not a bad skyline at all! Yeah, I rushed when I bought my tickets, presale as soon as they were available. And then when I kept checking back, I kept finding better and better seats! i was very bummed, but I am so excited to see Damien that I guess it doesn't matter where we sit!
But I got an email yesterday from the vendor saying no cameras. oh well almost time! |
