Er... i'm not sure if mr. Closing_Doors can back me up on this, but don't think i'd be too off the mark in saying Damien played in Doyle's (near Trinity) not too long ago and the news never made it to eskimofriends.
Oh well, Sh*t Happens.

Yes much to my dismay (since I only found out after the event) Damien played in Doyles a few weeks ago. They had a load of "big names" coming up...Glen Hansard, Damien Dempsey, James Blunt, Paddy Casey etc. but neglected to mention Mr Rice when I went. So you can imagine my disappointment the next time I made it to Ruby Sessions to be told he'd played across the road from my college without me finding out

Well it doesn't look like any of us knew in the first place. And I'm assuming anybody who did know about it didn't want to have to cue for ages beforehand to get in (a la Glen Hansard's recent gig) so they didn't say anything....which is fair enough. But since nobody else has mentioned it since, I guess nobody knew!
