i think you only deserve it if you write the music for your songs.

I read NME this week and I was disgusted that they put review 7/10 of Britney new album. NME suppose to support underachieved and new wave music, that the hell are they putting Britney for??? [img]smileys/smiley11.gif[/img]

I'm not really sure, I mean if u make music, doesn't it make u a musician- like a pianist, a guitarist or a singer?

i don't think musician necessarely refers to those who specifically create their own music, because i believe most people make music their own anyway....

that is not 2 say however that i am a britney fan, but whatever music makes someone happy, can't be bad, right?

but...
musicians: jeff buckley, nick drake, elliott smith, avril lavigne, britney spears.

it seems like an odd list doesn't it?
i'd prefer to call people like britney or avril a marketing tool.

While I'm not a fan of her music...WOW is Britney fun to look at. And yes I can be a shallow male at times.

But as far as lousy actual music...hmmm for me you can pretty much toss any country music artist in there, I can't stand it any of it.

Id have to agree with anything country and boy bands and pop princesses - but i do also have my pet hates. Top 3 would possibly be the Mavericks, Kylie and Bruce Springstein ( sorry bruce fans, just cant stand his music).

I just don't like them - no offence intended but I find them too political and too whiney. Not a comment on their musicianship but I just can't bear to listen to them.
