We have birthday threads because it's nice when people remember you, That's what the Everything Else section is meant to be about; taking up space just because we have the ability to. There's no really valid reason to de-humanise the forum to make things more streamlined.

how about a birthday thread...I mean only one.. where you can write your greetings..cause I wouldn`t stop that it`s just a kind of act of friendship..but it would indeed be more neat/clear to have only one thread for all the birthday greetings..just a thought
