Lisa at the Hollywoodbowl with Herbie Hancock
Did anyone happen to be there?
There haven't been vids on youtube so far and I couldn't find pictures, but I guess it's just a matter of time... I would sooo love to hear the live version of the song...

Yeah, I've not seen any videos or photos of the night yet, and there are only a couple of passing mentions in the press.
LA Times: Later collaborations such as the raga-dusted “Song Goes On” with tabla master Zakir Hussain and sitar player Niladri Kumar, and a cover of “The Times, They Are a’ Changin’” led by dusky-voiced Irish singer Lisa Hannigan fared better, as did “Tatamant Tilay / Exodus,” which featured the airily elegant Debbie Allen Dance Academy in the place of Malian trance-rockers Tinariwen, who appeared in a recorded backing track. Sound Spike: Hancock's version of Bob Dylan's "The Times They Are A'Changin'" with singer Lisa Hannigan was shortchanged from the rich and textured rendition on the album, but it's quite possible the ticking of the clock was growing louder -- the Bowl is adamant about not going past its 11 p.m. curfew -- and Hancock was clearly aware of how many acts he needed to get onstage based on the number of times he peeked at his watch. Suite 101: Songs sung by Lisa Hannigan (“Times Are A Changin’”), a duet with Greg Phillinganes & Kristina Train (“A Change Gonna Come”), and a rousing, rockin’ version of “Space Captain” by Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi followed. These performances were consistent and in essence, further complimented Hancock’s aesthetic and added to the show’s overall theme of global unity, peace, and love. And one from the OC Register... sounds like she didn't even sing the entire song:
The real problem was a lack of cohesion. Singers walked on stage and performed their number, then left. And many of the songs were truncated: Lisa Hannigan sang perhaps two verses of Dylan’s “The Times They Are A-Changin’” before walking off, only to be replaced by Phillinganes, who gave an impressionistic reading of Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come.” |

Thanks for posting what you've found!
I looked for more info today but still nothing... From what you've posted it looks like it wasn't necessarily an overwhelming success...
