Hahaha, guess i'll be going on my own though . Groningen is somewhere in the Dutch outback, with one big festival a year. Don't have a clue what the frames are doing there, but it'll be good i hope. |

It's part of the Eurosonic festival where they get 2 bands as representatives from each country to play.. I was going to go over but the flight to Amsterdam alone would cost €160 and €40 back so that's a bit much.
The Frames and Bellies sets are due to be broadcast live on Thursday on 2FM though, around 10pm-midnight. |

Gig was great, the Frames absolutely rocked. They played quite a couple of songs i didn't know (not on any of their albums anyways), a little tribute for Mic Christopher (song called Locusts?), as well as Fake and a great Star Star- Where is my mind Pixies-encore. Does anybody know if there's a webcast of all of this somewhere? The place was buzzing with (German) cameras as well. I wasn't too impressed by Bell X 1 i must say, first time ever i saw them, never heard any of their songs before, but it wasn't really my thing i guess |

I did hear them do "Tongue" though, that was kind of interesting. I must say I like the way Damien does it much better, he seems to do it with way more emotion. The Frames were good though.. I love the song "Fake"..

Cheers for the links! Bell X 1 did sound pretty good compared to the other acts i saw, (Brazen from Switzerland and some Hungarian dance acts), but i don't think they'll be playing a lot of festivals this summer. This Eurosonic festival they played at was flooded with festival-bookers, or partially organised by them or something. I hope the Frames will do a bit of Europe this summer, and particularly the Netherlands or Belgium... |
