Im desperatly looking for a picture of Shane Fitzsimons. Is anybody has one? Could you please please, upload it. Or send me a link! I will be eternally greatful!!
Im trying to do a DVD cover for the BBC Four Sessions, heres what i have so far...

First time doing these, so its not to good! But any advice or anything would be great!

hey, i am a product design student, about to graduate, and have done various graphic projects. i use adobe in-design, illustrator andd photoshop regularly. so if you would like any help, advice or ideas from a creative mind, it would be my pleasure to help. my website, although under construction at present, if influenced by the typography on 'o' and various releases from damien, amybe check it out and see if that helps, i like damiens packaging to reflect his personality, so for example the fabric case for 'o', and card sleves are great. obv you cant do that for your slip case, but maybe look at some of the styling. hope that made sense and helps

very nice, may be comparing html codes and flash tricks and dead intetresting stuff like that in the future then! what did you thionk of the beginnings of my site by the way?

I looked at yours a few days ago actually!! lol! I love the opening to it, its like its opening up a little present...or a portfolio lol!! I adore the shoe boxers, they're so cute!

And i saw yours a while back!! I like your penguin theme, for windows! Its sooo cool! BUt i didnt realise that, you could go to the bands site! Have you just added that, or im i just slow?

Probably just slow!

Here is a updated version of it!

I think it just looks so bland, and flat! Mainly the front part of the DVD Cover. Iam satisfied with the back i think, not the front though!

Any advice is welcome

i like it

i like the detail of the color pic in the middle surrunded by b&w's, but maybe the color picture should be bigger than the b&w's, i dunno, just an idea

I think at one point in the gig, Lisa whispers something to Damien and he turns to the audience and says "I know something you don't know". Although I haven't seen the full gig yet, so I could be wrong...

All did was really stretch the colour image out a little!! lol!!

lol, at the end of 'Eskimo Friend', lisa goes to him and says someting to him! and he goes... 'i know something you don't know' lol!! SO i just thought i would call it that lol!! Like the gig he did in Leeds ( i think), with out lisa! And someone asked where she was, and damien said he didnt know, or she wasnt coming! and someone from the audience shouts at... 'Shes behind you'! and that was called the 'Shes behind you' concert! lol sorry!!

hey

im not really where you could get the font from, and if it would be free of charge if you could find it. the way i have dont the text on my site, the damien style stuff, is using press stamps. its a kinda long winded way, but works. find some nice print stamps, i have some rubber ones with raised letter, put some ink on and put on the page, scan it in and mess around with it on photoshop.

maybe try doing similar things for the whole cover. rip up some paper, scan it in and build up a nice texture. brown packaging paper is what i used for my site, available from all good post offices!

i know there is a couple of pictures of shane on damienrice.com, under photos...if thats any help...but then again you probably looked there.

so are ya designing it for bbc? thats pretty cool.
