Question which side of the stage to sit?

hello
i'm going to see damien in brussels next year but could only get tickets for the balcony, would have much preferred to be down front but was too late. anyway i was just looking for some advice on which side of the stage i should aim for. its free seating and this decision could really affect my enjoyment of the show... please help

yeah this thing about damien getting so damn popular that only balcony seating is left after a few hours of the tickets going on sale is getting out of hand!

anyway...i prefer to stand center right (damien's left), but here's the thing...that's only because that's where I stood/sat on the stage the very first time I saw him and I cannot stand to be anywhere else in the crowd ever since. I know it's weird, anyone else like that?

I think you should get in the venue and look wich side the piano is facing and then decide where you're going to sit.

(Heum, I don't think it's strange...depending on wich venue in Belgium I allways try to take the same place. I've got no logical explanation)

How will this decision affect your enjoyment? From the balcony, you should have a good view of the whole stage... shouldnt' you? I wouldn't lost any sleep over it

I have tickets 'down' for the brussels gig. I'm planning on first row

i just want to be sure that i can see everything perfectly... really i'm just annoyed that i won't be at ground level... and i'm just annoyed that i didnt find out about the gig until the standing tickets had sold out. i had regestered for the damien rice news letter and was hoping for an advance announcement of the belgian gig but got nothing and had to find out via the local press.

I'd sit just to the left of centre. Lisa and Vyv tend to be on that side (Damo's right) , plus you should get a good view of Shane and Tomo over the other side

I'm on the balcony too (also late with ordering the tickets) but I hope it'll be alright, I don't know where I'm gonna sit, just somewhere at the front where I can see everything

I say just grab the best ones you can when you get there... if you plan where you want to sit, you might be disappointed like with the ticket sales... They often turn the lights down so low you can hardly see them anyway! Close your eyes and enjoy the music
